A New York federal judge on Friday rejected new counterclaims by Augme Technologies Inc. that the company hoped might help absolve it of $2.2 million in outstanding legal bills it allegedly owes to Shaub & Williams LLP for its work on a number of patent infringement lawsuits.

Shaub & Williams LLP hit Augme Technologies Inc. with a lawsuit in New York federal court Tuesday saying it's owed more than $2.2 million in attorneys' fees for work it performed in several patent infringement disputes after Augme allegedly dumped it for a larger firm.
