A stolen Renoir painting is making its way back to a Baltimore museum after a Virginia federal court held Friday that it did not belong to a woman who picked it up for $7 at a flea market and after an Allianz SE insurer agreed to drop its own claim to the art.

A Virginia federal court on Monday opened the door for others to join an Allianz SE insurer in a tug-of-war over a Renoir painting pilfered from a Baltimore museum in the 1950s and found again by an unsuspecting woman who paid less than $7 for it at a flea market.
