A Florida federal judge on Tuesday tossed a proposed collective action launched by an employee of The Coca-Cola Co.'s bottling and distributing unit who said the company violated federal law by denying him overtime pay, after the employee voluntarily dismissed the suit.

The bottling and distributing unit of The Coca-Cola Co. was hit Friday with a proposed collective action in Florida federal court launched by an employee claiming the beverage giant denied him overtime pay in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
