A Massachusetts federal judge on Monday wiped out much of a trademark infringement lawsuit by the founder of the rock band Boston against a former bandmate, ruling there was no evidence the guitarist had directly infringed the band's marks.

The founder of rock band Boston, known for hits "More Than A Feeling" and "Peace of Mind," slapped a former bandmate with a trademark infringement suit Wednesday in Massachusetts federal court, accusing him of using the "Boston" mark to promote his solo career.
