CVS has settled its antitrust suit against Visa and MasterCard, which the pharmacy giant filed after opting out of a landmark $7 billion settlement over an alleged scheme to fix credit card swipe fees, according to an order signed Tuesday by a New York federal judge.

CVS Pharmacy Inc. became the latest retailer Tuesday to launch a new antitrust suit against Visa Inc. and MasterCard Inc. over their allegedly anti-competitive transaction fees, after opting out of a $7.25 billion settlement in related multidistrict litigation.
