Avanir Pharmaceuticals Inc. has settled a suit in Delaware federal court accusing Sandoz Inc.'s planned generic version of involuntary-emotion treatment Nuedexta of infringing three patents, the company announced Wednesday.

Avanir Pharmaceuticals Inc. on Thursday sued Sandoz Inc. in Delaware to block its attempt at marketing a generic version of involuntary-emotion drug Nuedexta, claiming Sandoz's copycat drug would infringe its patents.
