A Florida federal judge last week tossed a proposed class action accusing Omega Flex Inc. of marketing to residences and businesses defective natural gas pipelines that could catch fire if struck by lightning, finding there were no actual injuries claimed in the suit.

Corrugated stainless steel tubing maker Omega Flex Inc. on Wednesday asked a Florida federal judge to toss a putative class action, arguing that the plaintiffs have no standing because they failed to claim any damage from the allegedly defective product.
