CSL To Pay $64M To Escape Blood Plasma Antitrust Suit
Australian medical product giant CSL Ltd. announced Monday that it will pay $64 million to escape a consolidated antitrust class action in which hospital groups claim it took part in a conspiracy to artificially hike the price of plasma-derivative protein therapies.

Baxter Wins Bid To Compel FDA Testimony In Plasma MDL
Baxter International Inc. won a bid to get a Food and Drug Administration official to testify in multidistrict litigation in which a class of hospitals allege the company and other plasma therapy providers conspired to fix prices, according to an order in D.C. federal court Monday.
