A California federal judge on Tuesday tossed a False Claims Act suit accusing Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. of wrongly pocketing federal funds it received to pay for the transport of Medicare Advantage patients after the parties agreed to end the litigation.

A California federal judge on Wednesday trimmed several claims from ProTransport-1 LLC's suit accusing Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. of wrongly referring it to Medicaid to seek payment for contracted patient transport services provided to Medicare Advantage patients, ruling it didn't have a basis for the allegations.
