Michael Kors LLC and Costco Wholesale Corp. on Thursday settled a lawsuit the fashion company had filed against the retailer over an ad campaign that allegedly misled customers into thinking they could buy cheap Michael Kors handbags at Costco, according to a New York federal court filing.

Fashion brand Michael Kors LLC on Thursday sued Costco Wholesale Corp. in New York, accusing the retailer of utilizing the fashion labels' trademarks to perpetrate a national "bait-and-switch" advertising campaign that falsely implied customers would be able to buy cheap Michael Kors handbags at Costco.
