The Eighth Circuit has dismissed Stoddard Equipment Co. Inc.'s appeal of a decision finding that American Safety Indemnity Co. needn't defend it from a lawsuit over a gasoline pipeline leak after the two companies told the court that the matter had been privately settled.

American Safety Exits Coverage Fight Over Gas Pipe Leak
A Missouri federal judge on Wednesday dismissed American Safety Indemnity Co. from a coverage lawsuit over a gasoline pipeline leak, finding that the alleged property damage did not occur during American Safety's policy period.
