Patterson Belknap Keeps Fees In 'Frivolous' FCA Suit
"Serial" relator Fox Rx Inc. has lost a plea to avoid paying $168,000 in fees to Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP after a New York federal judge ruled Wednesday that the award was a reasonable reflection of the work the firm did defending a pharmacy services company from "frivolous" False Claims Act allegations brought by Fox.

Relator Fights Fee Award In 'Frivolous' Medicare FCA Suit
A prescription drug plan sponsor in hot water over its "frivolous" suit alleging a pharmacy servicer falsely billed Medicare for brand-name and outdated drugs is fighting a fee request by the servicer's attorneys, saying the request was excessive in both the rates sought and the hours spent on the suit.
