A Nevada environmental advocacy group dropped its suit against the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers over the development of a road bypass project in Reno on Tuesday after the Corps assured the plaintiffs that it would consider alternatives for phase two of the project.

A Nevada environmental advocacy group sued the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Monday to halt the planned expansion of a major road in southeast Reno that it says would damage the environment and lead to excess flooding.
