An Alliant Techsystems Inc. lawsuit accusing Raytheon Inc. of making it impossible to fulfill a subcontract for rocket motors for the government was dismissed Tuesday by a Virginia federal judge because it lacked jurisdiction and Raytheon had sued first in Arizona.

Defense contractor Raytheon Co. made it impossible for manufacturer Alliant Techsystems Inc. to fulfill its contract for rocket motors thanks to faulty specifications and conflicting parts requests, ATK said in a complaint filed Wednesday in Virginia federal court.
