A former FBI agent who was sentenced in March to 10 years in prison for obstructing a kickback investigation of a defense contractor must serve an additional five years in jail for his role in a separate bribery scheme, a New York federal judge ruled on Monday.

Three men, including a former FBI agent already in custody on unrelated charges, have been charged in connection with an alleged bribery plot to supply confidential law enforcement documents to the political opposition of a high-profile citizen of Bangladesh, the U.S. Department of Justice said Friday.
