Fed. Circ. Upholds Microsoft, Google Win On Auction Patent
The Federal Circuit ruled Thursday that neither Microsoft Corp. nor Google Inc. infringed an online auction patent by selling ad space on their search engines, even though the district court improperly restricted the term "auction" to only include a single-item sale.

Fed. Circ. Urged To Nix Google, Microsoft Auction Patent Win
Walker Digital LLC urged the Federal Circuit on Monday to reverse rulings in favor of Microsoft Corp. and Google Inc. in a patent infringement dispute brought by Walker over Google's free AdWords service, saying the court improperly construed the term "auction" as limited to one sale.
