The Third Circuit ruled in favor of Kline & Specter PC Thursday when it upheld a sanction imposed on a former attorney at the firm for launching a time-barred federal racketeering suit in an attempt to regurgitate state law claims he already tried to pursue against the firm.

Kline & Specter PC on Thursday told the Third Circuit that a New Jersey federal judge correctly sanctioned one of the firm's former attorneys $2,500 for filing a time-barred federal racketeering suit against the firm in an attempt to regurgitate state law claims he already tried to pursue in Pennsylvania.
