Circuit said Tuesday, upholding a lower court's decision and rejecting Ecuador's claim that the U.S. courts lack jurisdiction.

The Republic of Ecuador urged the D.C. Circuit on Monday to toss a $106 million arbitration award for Chevron Corp. in a nearly two decade-long battle over oil contracts, saying the spat involves issues that were never subject to arbitration.
