    The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Federal Trade Commission recently urged the Second Circuit to reject a law firm and other class action defendants' argument that the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act doesn't cover fraudulent communications with courts and others not affiliated with the debtor.
