The Eleventh Circuit overturned a district court's ruling in favor of a Broward County, Florida, public defender in a case in which a forensic psychologist claimed he'd been unlawfully terminated, ruling Wednesday that portions of the case must be considered further.

Forensic psychologist Michael P. Brannon appeared to have an uphill climb convincing the Eleventh Circuit on Wednesday that a lower court wrongly rejected his claims that a Florida public defender had retaliated against him over testimony he gave on behalf of a judge.
