HHS Will Launch Guidance On HIPAA Health Privacy Rules
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services told a Washington federal judge Wednesday that it will issue further guidance on federal health privacy restrictions for prescription refill reminders, as it fights litigation from a pharmaceutical company contractor contending the rules infringe its business.

Health Privacy Rules Ruining Business, Contractor Says
A pharmaceutical company contractor that encourages patients to properly take their medicine launched a lawsuit Thursday against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, claiming certain provisions of federal health privacy laws infringe its business and violate free speech.
