    'Big Short' Author Denies Defamation In 2nd Circ.

    An attorney for "The Big Short" author Michael Lewis told the Second Circuit on Wednesday that the book's critical depiction of a New Jersey money manager's activities before the financial crisis was not defamatory, urging the appeals court to uphold a ruling dismissing the suit.
