The operator of dozens of KFC restaurants urged a Tennessee federal judge Tuesday to deny the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's bid for a new trial over a sexual harassment suit after a jury decided in the company's favor, saying the verdict was consistent with evidence.

A Tennessee federal jury on Wednesday fried a sexual discrimination suit against the operator of dozens of KFC restaurants, finding that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission failed to prove that a 16-year-old employee was subjected to a hostile work environment or retaliated against for reporting a manager's alleged harassment.
