Chicago Eateries Pay $1.9M To Settle Race Bias Claims
Rosebud Restaurant Inc. will pay $1.9 million to settle a lawsuit brought by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging the company discriminated against African Americans when hiring workers for its Chicago-area eateries, according to an agreement approved Tuesday by a federal judge.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission hit Rosebud Restaurants Inc. with a lawsuit Tuesday in Illinois federal court alleging that 10 Rosebud eateries in and around Chicago violated civil rights laws by refusing to hire African-Americans.
