A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Wednesday confirmed community newspaper publisher GateHouse Media Inc.'s prepackaged Chapter 11 restructuring plan, allowing it to spin off into a new media enterprise in combination with 33 other papers.

A Delaware bankruptcy judge on Monday gave community newspaper publisher GateHouse Media Inc. interim approval to use cash collateral to fund what the company hopes will be a short stint in Chapter 11 bankruptcy before it spins off into a new media enterprise.
