A Massachusetts district judge on Thursday signed off on the undisclosed settlement between Northeastern University and BAE Systems and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. that ends a contract dispute over a $1.2 million piece of equipment the university said it paid for but never received.

A Massachusetts federal judge on Wednesday agreed to dismiss part of a lawsuit filed by Northeastern University alleging BAE Systems and Electronic Systems Integration Inc. breached contract and failed to provide a piece of underwater acoustic technology after the school paid $1.2 million for it.
