Pa. Dioceses Win Injunction Against Contraceptive Mandate
The Roman Catholic dioceses of Pittsburgh and Erie won a preliminary injunction on Thursday blocking provisions of the federal Affordable Care Act mandating that they provide contraceptive and sterilization coverage as part of insurance plans offered to employees of religiously affiliated schools and charitable entities.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services struck back at a Catholic diocese's lawsuit over the Affordable Care Act's requiring insurance coverage for contraception, saying in Pennsylvania district court Tuesday that the diocese is challenging the very accommodations made to protect religious organizations' rights.
