Ltd., GoPro Inc. and Pantech Wireless Inc., ruling that a judge had wrongly barred plaintiff e.Digital Corp. from seeking a claim construction on a patent that differed from the one in an earlier case.

The Federal Circuit on Wednesday held that a California federal court correctly barred e.Digital Corp. from relitigating construction of a claim for one of its digital-audio recording patents because of an earlier construction in another court, in an infringement dispute between e.Digital and tech companies such as Huawei Device USA Inc.
