TJ Maxx To Pay $8.5M To Settle Meal Break Suit
TJ Maxx has agreed to pay $8.5 million to settle a class action alleging it did not pay nearly 83,000 workers for time spent waiting for managers to close up shop after hours or give them meal breaks, according to a motion for preliminary approval the workers filed Wednesday in California federal court.
