A federal court in Massachusetts on Monday tossed a former U.S. defense contractor's proposed class action alleging the Raytheon Co. failed to pay overtime for work done in Kuwait, ruling that the law of the Middle Eastern country was not incorporated into his employment contract.

A former Kuwait-based employee of Raytheon Technical Services Co. LLC struck back at the defense giant's attempt to dismiss his proposed class action over unpaid overtime, saying in Massachusetts federal court Friday that the employment agreement bounds the contractor to observe Kuwaiti law.
