The Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. told a North Carolina federal judge Monday that the multimillionaire president of an auto body shop was unreasonable to expect tax advice from their agent in a $1.9 million suit over an infamous tax shelter because he signed a disclaimer which said the agent was not a tax adviser.
