The U.S. Department of Justice said Wednesday it is joining a whistleblower suit in Alabama federal court, in which the contractor that vetted NSA leaker Edward Snowden and Washington Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis is accused of not performing quality control reviews for its background investigations.
