A California federal judge on Monday gave preliminary approval to a $2.75 million settlement deal with receivable and resource management company USCB Inc. to end allegations that the company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

Receivable and resource management company USCB Inc. agreed on Friday to pay $2.75 million to approximately 12,000 consumers to settle a Telephone Consumer Protection Act class action alleging it used an automated dialer to call plaintiffs' cellphones without consent to collect debt, according to California federal court documents.
