Robert Bosch LLC on Monday escaped Nissan Motor Co.'s claims that the electronics company should be held liable if the automaker is found to have infringed a Texas company's sound-system patents, after the two manufacturers reached an undisclosed settlement in Texas federal court.

Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. on Wednesday asked a Texas federal court to hold Robert Bosch LLC liable if the automaker is found to have infringed two Affinity Labs of Texas LLC sound system patents, saying that while the underlying suit relates to technology included in Nissan vehicles, it was manufactured by Bosch.
