Army Corps Reaches Deal To Cut Pollution In Ore. Rivers
The U.S Army Corps of Engineers agreed Monday in Oregon federal court to apply for pollution permits and notify the Columbia Riverkeeper of all spills as part of a settlement of the group's litigation alleging the Corps' hydroelectric dams spilled oil containing cancer-causing polychlorinated biphenyls into two rivers.
