Judge OKs $239M Class Settlement Over Faulty Guns
A Florida federal judge on Friday gave final approval to a $239 million settlement in a class action lawsuit alleging safety defects involving several models of a Brazilian gun manufacturer's pistols, overruling several objections that she said made weak or contradictory arguments.

Gunmaker Inks $30M Deal Over Hair Trigger, Safety Defects
Brazilian gun manufacturer Forjas Taurus SA will provide expanded warranties, training and up to $30 million in cash for returned handguns to settle a class action claiming that its weapons can fire when dropped, even with the safety on, according to documents filed in Florida federal court on Friday.
