A former Haynes and Boone LLP partner on Tuesday urged a California federal judge to nix an inventor's $20 million legal malpractice suit over an allegedly botched semiconductor patent licensing agreement, saying the claims are time-barred because they stem from a settlement negotiated seven years prior to the suit.
