An Ohio federal judge on Monday rejected a Cleveland-area firm's request for attorneys' fees following its win in a fired hospital sonographer's retaliation suit and also refused the hospital's request to impose sanctions on the firm for omitting Sixth Circuit precedent, despite calling the omission "disturbing."

An Ohio federal judge was told Thursday that local firm Dworken & Bernstein Co. LPA should be sanctioned for failing to mention Sixth Circuit precedent that would hurt its attorneys' fees bid in a fired hospital sonographer's retaliation suit.
