TransUnion Users Denied Cert. Of Inflated Credit Score Class
An Illinois federal judge has declined to certify a putative consumer class alleging that TransUnion Corp. provided them with inaccurate credit scores, after finding that there were no common questions present within the suit to determine whether class members suffered the same injury and that the proposed lead plaintiff is not adequate to represent class members, among other things.

An Illinois federal judge on Thursday dismissed the bulk of a consumer protection lawsuit against TransUnion Corp., telling a proposed class of those who had purchased credit scores from the agency that claims of inaccurate reporting cannot stand if a third party never saw the report in question.
