A Michigan federal judge on Monday gave final approval to a $61.2 million settlement in massive multidistrict litigation brought by automobile dealerships that accused Japanese car parts maker Denso Corp. of bid-rigging, market allocation and price-fixing.

Another prong of the massive multidistrict litigation underway in Michigan federal court accusing numerous Japanese companies of fixing prices on auto parts plowed ahead Friday as nearly 50 car dealerships lodged a proposed class action targeting a conspiracy to manipulate the market for power window motors.
