A Pennsylvania federal judge on Thursday refused to toss a putative class action accusing a bitcoin mining hardware maker of not delivering its specialized computers, ruling that the jurisdictional requirements for the amount in controversy have been satisfied.

A company selling bitcoin miners, which use high-powered computers to solve increasingly complex cryptographic problems to find the most widespread digital currency, has cost customers millions by not delivering the hardware, according to a putative breach of contract class action filed Wednesday in Pennsylvania federal court.
