A California federal judge on Tuesday invalidated two content-on-demand technology patents asserted by OpenTV Inc. against Netflix Inc., saying they claimed nothing more than abstract ideas under the U.S. Supreme Court's Alice Corp. decision, but refused to nix a third patent.

A Delaware federal judge on Monday transferred a patent infringement lawsuit brought by OpenTV Inc. against Netflix Inc. over content-on-demand technology to the Northern District of California, saying Netflix sufficiently showed that the interests of justice and convenience "strongly favor" the move.
