TRW Automotive JV LLC agreed to drop its suit against auto parts manufacturer Fuji Oozx Inc. claiming that Oozx's plans to open an engine valve subsidiary in Mexico violated their joint venture agreement, according to a Wednesday court filing.

TRW Automotive Inc. asked a Tennessee federal court Friday to declare that Japanese auto parts manufacturer Fuji Oozx Inc. violated a 27-year-old joint venture agreement between the two by planning to open up an engine valve subsidiary in Mexico, arguing Oozx's sole defense against the breach-of-contract suit relies on unrelated intellectual property agreements.

Auto parts manufacturer TRW Automotive Inc. sued Japanese parts maker Fuji Oozx Inc. in Tennessee federal court Thursday, claiming Fuji breached a quarter-century-old joint venture agreement between the two when it announced plans to set up a Fuji engine valve manufacturing subsidiary in Mexico.
