An affiliate of private equity firm BlackRock Inc. was slapped with a derivative suit that accuses, on behalf of a $30.3 billion equity dividend fund, the investment management unit of pummeling the fund with "improper and excessive" fees, according to documents filed Thursday in New Jersey federal court.
