Software Maker Hit With Suit Over Scaring Users To Upgrade
ZeoBIT LLC, the maker of utility software for Apple Inc. computers, was hit with a putative class action Tuesday in Pennsylvania federal court alleging the software doesn't destroy viruses as it promises but generates false error messages to scare consumers into buying an upgrade.
