Hologram USA on Wednesday narrowed its patent infringement dispute in a Nevada federal court over technology used to create a holographic Michael Jackson during the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, saying it reached a settlement with Pulse Entertainment, but is continuing to pursue claims against other defendants.

A Nevada federal court on Friday rejected Pulse Entertainment's bid to pare down Hologram USA's patent suit over technology used to create a holographic Michael Jackson during the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, finding that Pulse's argument that a diagram included with the complaint showed it didn't infringe one of the patents-in-suit wasn't sufficient.
