Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has agreed to drop his $1 billion antitrust suit against the National Basketball Association and allow former Microsoft Corp. CEO Steve Ballmer to buy the team for $2 billion, Sterling's attorney said Wednesday.

Disgraced Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling made good on his vows to contest the National Basketball Association's plans to force a sale of the team, hitting the NBA with a $1 billion antitrust suit Friday even as the NBA agreed to cancel the forced sale.
