Neustar Inc. reached a $2.6 million deal with investors Thursday, ending their attempt to revive class claims that Neustar higher-ups misled shareholders about a fumbled bid for a lucrative Federal Communications Commission contract.

A federal judge freed Virginia-based telecom company Neustar Inc. from a proposed class action on Tuesday, ruling that the plaintiff had not shown that company higher-ups had misled investors over a fumbled bid for a lucrative government contract.
