Apple Says Wi-LAN Unit Can't Escape Patent Suit
Apple Inc. urged a California federal judge on Monday to reject a bid by a Wi-LAN Inc. subsidiary to sever itself from the tech giant's suit to invalidate a group of data transmission patents, saying the subsidiary is a direct extension of Wi-LAN and that they each asserted patents in bad faith.
