A California federal judge has dismissed an infringement suit Dominion Assets LLC brought against rival Masimo Corp. over noninvasive blood monitoring intellectual property, after the two companies told the court they reached a settlement.

Medical device manufacturer Masimo Corp. urged a California federal judge during a hearing Thursday to toss rival company Dominion Assets LLC's lawsuit alleging Masimo infringed two Dominion blood-testing patents, saying the asserted claims are invalid as either anticipated or indefinite.
